I’ve been there. In 2017, I made the life-altering decision to undergo a preventative mastectomy after discovering I carried the BRCA1 genetic variant. It was isolating, confusing, and deeply personal. I began sharing my story online in hopes of connecting with others who felt as lost as I did. What I didn’t expect was how quickly my voice would grow—and how brands and organizations would start reaching out, asking me to partner with them to amplify their messaging.
But here’s what I learned: too often, people with powerful stories are undervalued and taken advantage of. I realized my story was sacred, and I started saying no to opportunities that didn’t align. More importantly, I realized I could do more than say no—I could help brands and individuals do better.
That’s why I launched Impacter Agency: to be the resource I wish I’d had when I started. We’re here to empower changemakers, advocates, and leaders to recognize their worth, protect their stories, and secure fair compensation while driving campaigns that truly make an impact. As a multiple Emmy Award-winning producer, consultant, content creator, advocate, and storyteller, I’ve worked with brands to improve their messaging and guided individuals in navigating negotiations, contracts, and partnerships.
